Frequently asked questions about inventory
What is the difference between the Inventory and the Assets module?
Inventory is for materials and consumables that get used up — bought, consumed and finished. Assets are durable equipment assigned to people and returned. The two modules complement each other but solve different things.
Can I see who consumed the most of a given material?
Yes. Consumption reports show quantities by employee, by item and by category over a chosen period, so you see exactly where materials go.
Can I see which material is running low?
Yes. You set a minimum threshold per item, and the items that drop below it appear on the alerts page, with the missing quantity, so you order in time.
Can I keep stock across several work sites?
No, not yet. The module keeps a single stock per company, with no locations or transfers between warehouses.
