Anniversaries, without exposing birth dates
The team sees the day and month of a colleague's anniversary, so nobody misses it, but not the year of birth. The minimum needed for a nice gesture, without exposing a full personal date.

Images stripped of hidden data
Uploaded photos are compressed automatically, and the hidden data inside the file — including where the photo was taken — is removed. Storage is private, not public.

Frequently asked questions about the Social module
How is this different from a WhatsApp group or Teams?
Calendars and anniversaries are built from data that already exists in Workly — approved leave, work schedules, telework — so nobody has to update them by hand. And the content stays in the company's system, not on employees' personal phones.
Who can publish announcements?
Publishing is controlled through roles, and the module has a dedicated moderator role. Each section — announcements, anniversaries, communities, calendars — can be enabled or disabled separately in the module settings.
Are poll votes really anonymous?
When a poll is marked anonymous, the vote is not linked to the person who cast it, not even in the internal audit trail. Results are shown in aggregate, not by name.
Are employees required to use the module?
No. Like every Workly module, Social is enabled only if you want it, and the sections inside it can be turned on or off individually, depending on your company's culture.
