As a modern web app, Workly uses your phone's capabilities. Everything below already works; the ones marked “optional” are switched on by the company's administrator.

The installed app starts even without signal, but clocking in and requests need a connection — until the signal returns you see the “You're offline” message.

Web push notifications
Optional, switched on by the administrator: clock-in and schedule reminders on your phone, even with the app closed.

Biometric confirmation
Optional: before clocking in, the phone asks for your fingerprint, face or code, via WebAuthn. It is a local confirmation, with no passwords to type.

GPS time tracking
Optional, when the company requires it: the phone sends the location at the moment of clocking in, and without a location the clock-in does not go through.
On-device security
Your data stays protected, on the phone and on the server
The mobile app follows the same rules as the rest of the platform — no compromises just because it's on a phone.
Encrypted sensitive data
Employees' personal ID number, ID document and IBAN are encrypted, and access runs over a secure session, with role-based permissions.
Configurable retention
Automatic deletion of documents at the end of retention is optional: the company's administrator switches it on (off by default).
Right to erasure
Once the contract has ended, an employee's file can be anonymized on request, while the contract structure is kept for legal records.
